Heavy Duty PTFE Wire Probe

Stock Code: 133-373

In stock

This heavy duty PTFE insulated wire temperature probe is ideal for measuring the temperature and can be inserted into concrete to monitor concrete temperatures in real-time, ensuring that curing conditions remain within the ideal range for high-quality construction.
This product is suitable for attaching to a wide range of ETI thermometers, for the purpose of monitoring your concrete temperature via WIFI during the curing process we supply the

ThermaData® WiFi 2-Channel Thermocouple Logger (stock 298-721).
The probe has a rapid response time of less than 1 second. Temperature range -75 to 250 °C. Maximum probe temperature is 250 °C. The probe measures Ø2.4mm and is available in lengths of 10, 25 and 50 meters. This temperature probe wire offers and economically solution to using the more expensive stainless steel probes as this wire can be trimmed at concrete floor level and used until the wire runs out.

The loggers have a range limited to the specification of the users WiFi router. Each logger has a intuitive LCD displaying temperature, WiFi connection status, max/min recorded temperatures, alarm status and battery life.

At programmable intervals, the loggers will record temperature from both sensors, recording up to a maximum of 18000 readings (9000 from each sensor). Each logger incorporates a red and green LED. The flashing green LED indicates that the logger is active/logging and the flashing red LED indicates that your customised preset alarms have been exceeded. Each unit is supplied with a USB lead. ThermaData Studio software is available to download FREE from our website and is licence free, no ongoing or subscription charges.

Why is Concrete temperature monitoring carried out?

Concrete temperature monitoring is crucial in construction projects as it directly influences the quality, strength, and durability of the final structure. Maintaining the appropriate temperature throughout the curing process is essential for properly hydrating the concrete and ensuring optimal strength development. Cold weather conditions slow down the hydration process, leading to weaker concrete. Excessive heat accelerates the evaporation of water, potentially causing surface cracks. Maintaining the appropriate temperature and humidity level facilitates optimal hydration, allowing the concrete to achieve its intended strength and durability.

Using a ThermaData® Thermocouple Logger allows you to monitor concrete temperatures in real-time. With this information, you can react accordingly if the curing conditions are not within the ideal range for high-quality construction.
