Benefits

Limitations

Scopes of application

Primary use is on ground and polished concrete floors, to be applied at the end of the polishing process. Can also be used on natural stone such as marble, limestone and granite as well as on cementitious and epoxy terrazzo. Can be used both indoors and outdoors. Fields of application are  e.g. industrial floors in commercial establishments, market halls, shopping malls and supermarkets, but also works well on natural stone tiles, window seats, countertops and stairs.  

To be applied to a concrete surface at the end of the polishing process. Generates a color enhancement upon application that will be greater if applied twice. For highly absorbent surfaces, two applications may be needed for optimal result.

Processing

Always test a small area of each surface to confirm suitability, coverage rate and desired results before beginning overall application. The treated surface must be dry and free from impurities. Mix well before using. Apply PREMIUM GUARD SB with a low-pressure sprayer and spread material with a short-hair microfiber mop.  Do not atomize. Using the mop, apply a firm downward pressure and immediately spread the product to produce a thin, even coating. Spread the product as far as possible while maintaining a wet edge.   Once dried the surface may be buffed to a high gloss finish using a 3000 grit diamond impregnated Hiperclean pad. Allow 24 hours prior to final buffing for full benefit.   Multiple coats may be required in high wear areas depending on traffic conditions. An additional coat can be applied after material has dried for at least 60–90 minutes. 

Temperatures for application should be 40–100° F (4–38° C). If applied outdoors, avoid application on hot, windy days. 

Drying time
 
The drying time (ready for traffic) is between 60-90 minutes. According to ambient temperature and humidity, drying time can vary. Protect from water exposure for 24hrs. Maximum protection will develop over 7 days.  Consumption rate 
For grinded/polished surface (single coat) approx. 2,000-3000 sqft/G (185 - 275 m2/G).

Storage
 
Store in cool, dry place, in closed container. Maintain temperatures of 40–100°F (4–38°C).  Shelf Life: 12 months in factory-sealed, unopened container. Opened cans should be worked up within 24 hrs. Manufacturing date is stuck onto the pail with the Julian date Code with a sticker as in YYDDD.

Environmental Protection

The product is not classified as environmentally hazardous. It does not contain any substances regulated as pollutants pursuant to the Clean Water Act (40 CFR 122.21 and 40 CFR 122.42) However, this does not exclude the possibility that large or frequent spills can have a harmful or damaging effect on the environment. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/ national/international regulations. Completely emptied packages can be recycled.  

Health & Safety

Husqvarna PREMIUM GUARD SB is a "Hazardous Chemical" as defined by OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200, but does not contain any substances regulated as hazardous substances under the CERCLA act (40 CFR 302), or the SARA act (40 CFR 355). Safety data sheet available at request.

Causes serious eye irritation. Combustible liquid. PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENT: Prevention: Wash face, hands and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling. Wear eye/face protection. Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. NO SMOKING. Response: IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. IN CASE OF FIRE: Use water fog, dry chemical, CO2 or “alcohol resistant” foam. No dangerous good in sense of transport regulations.  VOC <100g/L.   pH: n/a
