Husqvarna GM 3000 20L

Scopes of application 

GM 3000 is applicable to concrete surfaces, screeds and cementitious stone/Terrazzo. Specific areas of usage are e.g. for highly polished floors where you want to minimize the appearance and existence of small pinholes in the floor. The product is suitable for interior use. Processing  Wet concrete with water prior to application. Keep surface wet until rejection, approx. 20 mins. Remove excess puddles. Using a very soft broom, apply GM 3000 at a coverage rate of around 1 Gal per 300 sqft. Whilst GM 3000 is still wet, run 100 grit metal bond diamonds with double passes. The dust created by the 100 grit diamonds will combine with the wet GM 3000 to create a paste which will be forced into the small pinholes and cavities in the concrete. Continue to grind the floor until excess GM 3000 is removed leaving holes filled.  

The product is normally applied between grinding steps, and if so, the product  should be left to harden for approx. 8 hrs. Any sequential grinding or troweling is normally continued the next day.  

Protect adjacent surfaces against splashes. Clean equipment with water.

Note: If the floor should also be treated with a densifier from the Husqvarna Floor Hardening System, the densifier can be applied directly after the grouting process to leave everything to harden simultaneously.

Processing temperature

Avoid direct solar radiation during processing. The surface temperature should be between 5°C and 35°C.(40°F to 95°F) Floor heating should be turned off. Avoid direct moisture until the treatment is totally dry.

Drying time

The curing time is between 8-10 hours. According to ambient temperature, humidity and absorption there could be a difference in curing time. Preferably leave product to harden overnight.

Approx. 300 sqft/G  

Storage & Shelf-Life

Store in cool, dry place, in closed container. Protect from frost. Avoid direct sunlight. Storage temperature should be between 5°C and 30°C (40°F to 90°F). Shelf-life is 18 months from manufacturing date in unopened canisters. Manufacturing date is stuck onto the pail with the Julian date Code with a sticker as in YYDDD. 

Environmental Protection 

The product is not classified as environmentally hazardous. However, this does not exclude the possibility that large or frequent spills can have a harmful or damaging effect on the environment. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/ national/international regulations. Completely emptied packages can be recycled.

Health & Safety

GM 3000 is harmless to health after curing. A good ventilation should be provided during and after the application. Safety data sheet available at request.  Ingredients: Styrene/acrylic polymer emulsion, 1-Phenoxypropan-2-ol.

This product is a "Hazardous Chemical" as defined by OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200. Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause respiratory irritation. PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENT: Prevention: Avoid breathing mist/vapors. Wash thoroughly after handling. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. 

Wear protective gloves/eye protection/face protection.

Response: IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. 
If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a poison center/doctor if you feel unwell.  No dangerous good in sense of transport regulations.
