A new project to redevelop part of London's most famous shopping areas has been won by MACE. The project which will involve the construction of a brand new retail space is likely to generate a significant proportion of new bricklaying jobs, due to the project involving the construction of 45 new homes. Bricklaying tools such as the W Rose Philadelphia brick trowels are likely to be in strong demand from professional bricklayers.

Mace was confirmed as the lead contractor, fighting off strong opposition from Sir Robert McAlpine, Lend Lease and BAM Construct and is the latest successful contract wins for the Firm. The contract is estimated to be worth around the £50 million mark and will give the company a significant boost and allowed for the creation of a new office facility at Moorgate Hall.
