Construction work is complete on the first section of a new overground train line in London but brick tools might still be in demand as recruitment for the next phase continues.

The £1 billion upgrade extends the old east London line and will support the regeneration of some of London's most deprived areas, boasting four new stations and fast, reliable journeys.

Providing access to jobs, education and leisure for people who wouldn't normally have the facilities to travel easily is the aim of the project.

The infrastructure project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget and will be ready to start operating under a "preview running" status soon before commencing a full service on May 23rd.

According to Career Structure, construction jobs are still available on the line as there are plans to connect the North and East London sections as well as to extend the Eastern route to Clapham Junction.
