A concrete brush finish could leave a floor ready for use in commercial and retail spaces.

ConcreteNetwork.com has published the results of a new survey into attitudes relating to concrete floors - and has found widespread support for the material.

Director of communications Khara Dizmon says: "People will seek out concrete as they try to find a flooring material that will last, be easy to clean, be eco-friendly and allow them the capability to design it the way they want."

A concrete brush finish could be one option, while in industrial environments a textured surface could help to give the floor the extra grip needed.

Grooved floors are also commonly used in agricultural environments, to ensure livestock does not slip on a smooth surface.

But it is not only industrial applications where concrete floors are finding favour, according to the report.

Some residential properties are now also making use of the material as a finished surface, indicating the appeal that cementitious floors have on a universal scale.
