Four users of concrete tools at Barratt West Midlands have won prizes in the Pride in the Job Quality Awards.

Carl Gough, Stuart Stokes, Rob Thorp and Robert Gray all picked up official recognition for the quality of the building sites they oversee, the firm has announced.

All four are now due to go onto the final round of the competition, where the best site manager in Britain will be chosen.

Mr Stokes runs Barratt's Kensington Gardens development, while Mr Gough supervises the Monarch Fields site and Mr Thorp and Mr Gray are in charge of Dovedale Park and Fordbrook Court respectively.

"The site manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high quality new homes and that is why we are so delighted with all ... of these national awards," Steve Cartwright, construction director for Barratt West Midlands, commented.

Another branch of the company recently received high scores in a buyer satisfaction survey.

Barratt North Midlands was rated as a four-star construction firm after the Home Builders Federation announced that the vast majority of purchasers were so happy with their new property they would recommend the business to a friend.
