Concrete finishing tools could see action on a number of sites in Norfolk as the county council commences work on two new projects.

The A149 Acle New Road and A149 North Quay are receiving new surfaces, while Little Plumhead Church of England School is undergoing a £5 million upgrade.

At the school site, new facilities are being constructed and, on October 1st, the Rt Rev Dr Alan Winton, Bishop of Thetford, is due to take part in a ceremonial turf-cutting.

Chair of governors Jo Quarterman says: "I know our children are very excited about the new school and I am sure they will learn a great deal as they watch the new building take shape."

Meanwhile, the resurfacing work on the A149 includes 380 m of North Quay and a shorter section of Acle New Road.

Access to properties and businesses located in the affected areas will be maintained, although the point of entry to the works site will depend on where the road is being worked on at any given time.
