Brick tools users could be about to benefit from the announcement of funding for the delivery of more than 180 new properties in Kent and Medway.

Over £15 million in financing has been provided by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) through its National Affordable Housing Programme and other initiatives.

HCA director in the south-east David Edwards stated: "The HCA funding will attract private sector investment and will provide people more choice and opportunity when it comes to finding a great new place to live."

Some £1.7 million will be used for the development of 50 houses on the banks of the River Medway in Gillingham, while the organisation is also giving £1.5 million through its Kickstart scheme to build 30 homes at Holborough Lakes in Snodland.

The agency confirmed today (September 15th) it will be providing £6.6 million for the development of new and affordable properties in Gosport in Hampshire.
