A power trowel could be a good tool to put with the rest of your concrete finishing equipment, if one recommendation is anything to go by.

According to eHow, a good power trowel can flatten out a concrete surface, harden it and leave it with a smooth finish.

As a result, it believes it is an "incredibly efficient" concrete finishing tool.

However, eHow noted that there are various types of power trowel available, some of which may suit some construction jobs better than others.

For instance, some need to be sat upon, while others are machines that you walk along with.

"Whatever style power trowel you use, once you have laid and leveled out a concrete floor, it is the best tool for finishing up the job," eHow said.

The 36" 5.5 HP Power Trowel from Barikell is one good example of a reliable and durable machine, coming with four easily replaceable blades and a heavy duty clutch.
