People who buy bricklaying tools may want to make sure they have a suitable hammer packed with their equipment.

According to Lets-Do-Diy.com, brick hammers have been purposely designed for use with bricks and masonry.

This means that bricklayers should make sure that they purchase a genuine brick hammer rather than an implement designed for general use.

Lets-Do-Diy.com highlighted a number of the differences between convention hammers and brick hammers.

For example, it noted that one end of a brick hammer is shaped like a chisel, while the other is squared off.

This means that the chisel end can be used for reshaping and chipping away at masonry, and the other end can be used as the driving face.

W. Rose, which has been manufacturing bricklaying tools for more than two centuries, offers a good selection of brick hammers.

The item on display is one good example, which weighs 24oz/ 0.7kg.
